KANNADA BARUTHE

KANNADA BARUTHE

As usual in the busy after noon took a break from my usual work, switched on some add radio channel, which was airing a program on the kannada barthe.com. which was owned and managed by group of people from software sector and they also aired song ‘thinna beda kammi, kannada kaliyammi’ a song from the latest kannada movie. As this was owing in mind next morning, I saw a person who was selling learn Kannada from English costing just 20 per in value but wearing daily of 120rs…
What are these people doing, they have their own job, life but then also they are giving their part of time to the kannada illiteracy among non-kannada residents of Bangalore. It started creating in my mind what we are of, what I can do? so I thought, I could not do it in large scale as these people are doing. We can use  alerts, teach a single kannada word to non-kannada people who are around us may be colleagues, may be classmates or neighbors or  anyone it all takes you to be a part of increasing kannada literacy by doing something for the society around you.

‘Win vs Politics vs Sports’

‘Win vs Politics vs Sports’

“Karnataka cricket team won the Ranji trophy after 14 years”, the headlines quoted in a morning news paper. I was taken by a thought, was the team really trying so hard to get to victory? Or was the team so poor in their performance that it took 14 long years to taste the victory? Or is it rather such a long time to improve to a better level? Many such hindrance thoughts came up to my mind.

A team to perform well and be efficient, it is the duty of the respective committee to put the right people for the right job. But it is unfortunate to witness, political winds blowing in the field of sports. Recommendations, influences are becoming shortcuts to fame for the people with money and political power. It is sacking the deserved talents to perish in agony.

It was also noted that Indian cricket team won the world cup after 28 years since 1983. The reason for such a lengthy duration of achievement symbolises the weakness of potentiality about the team. What is it that is lacking behind? It is surprised to know that the corruption has drawn its roots even in sports. The committees framed by the concerned authorities

In fact if the concerned authorities hail from sports background with a quality experiences. Knowing the language of hard work and sincere efforts of the budding sports enthusiasts, they would be able to opt the potential talents and nurture them through their inner knowledge and impart their skills into those new talents and can shape for a better sports future of the nation.

Political interference should be completely banned. If they give way for progressive steps to identify the talents from not only urban but also from Semi-urban and Rural areas, our nation does glorify with high potentials than any other countries across the world. Facilities such as training institutes, sports grounds, financial aids, educational benefits will surely be a motivational supplement for a sports enthusiast to pursue his/her career in the field of sports and promote towards representing the nation.

Sports should influence self esteem level of an individual which gives an option to be in the list of his dreams and desires to make an achievement in life.

A BEAUTIFUL MIND

                                                    A BEAUTIFUL MIND

I was feeling little low that day, had nothing running in my mind to kill that feeling. So I just happened to browse laptop and switched to watch a movie called – ‘A Beautiful Mind’. It was rather a motivational punch for any audience with a feeling of low esteem. The movie spoke about a mathematician and a Noble Prize winner ‘Dr. John Nash’

The character portrays a pivotal role of being out of the box. He was different and special in his own ways. He will be going through a psychological disorder. He constructs an illusionistic world of his own where people living in it, his own creations and believes he is in contact with them.

He laughs, He learns, He believes and yet HE leads a normal life as everyone does, he will be encouraged by his friends and people around him. Its them, who gave push of courage, make him believe, after all its a belief and never give up attitude makes a man stand to his aims. It takes nearly 30 years of his lifetime to travel that far on the road of success, contentment and hitting the target.

It is these kind of stories that keeps a person intact of his ideals and goals. To make an effective comparison of what we are with others, rather than complaining of how miserable our lives are.

Surviving is not a tough nut to crack; all you need is quench hunger for twice a day. There are other important things in life to lead it in our terms and making it a mark in our life.

In the end, all it takes for a person to stand with courage and come out of the weakness and mark up distinctively by doing some unusual things that not any ordinary person does. It takes a strong will power to face the mistakes made knowingly or either wise, to correct and never repeat again.

A mark of respect for such an eminent person, Dr.John Nash and also his beloved wife.

Bond Over Stories - Reincarnation of a Child inside YOU!

Communities, Networks, Clubs and many such miniature loops to hangout around any corner of a city can be seen everywhere. It might be sports club, a ladies club, men’s club etc etc. No matter what such groups are all about, there do exist a space to spend a quality time to have fun by being in them. Bangalore city - the most busiest city of the state where the lifestyle has become materialistic to all working class and all sorts of people surviving here. When it comes to weekends, normally we perceive it to be lucrative window shopping at malls or a party bash double days. But Bangalore is not only into such page 3 entertainments.  Still one can witness many options to recreational ideas, many options to flush the mind of boredom from the work load it carries the entire day and weeks. I happened to come across a surprising group as such called ‘Story Telling network.' Sounds silly isn’t it ? I too felt the same when I heard the name. Curiosity caught my interest. I enquired what that fuss is all about and then, why not give a visit to that place.

This group was started with just 2 women who took up a tickling idea of starting an innovative group of narrating the stories. It began with an easy source of medium – the social networking sites. They framed it as ‘Meet Up – Bangalore story telling network’ and was conducted in a book store. Its been 6 months that has started and they are getting a magnificent response. The session was scheduled on a Sunday morning. I was amazed to see nearly 40 plus audience from corporate background, well designated, well paid intellectuals, to that place. The event began, where in a female narrator of mid age started with a story, not just a story, it did had the moral at the end, not just any Panch Tantra morals, morals that we get to learn to sustain in this society. Morals to lead life in our own way decoratively. The session went for nearly 2 hours and many who were the members of that community voluntarily narrated their versions of stories. It was then, when I realized that, story narration is an art. It is not an easy cake to relish. You get to keep the audience attracted to the plot. All of them were taken to their childhood days reminding of their elders or grandparents who were the masters of teaching their kids with a motto to understand the good and bad around their kids. Even I too recollected my childhood days. By the time the session got over, I was overjoyed by reincarnation of the child inside me.

As we grow old, we tend to forget or rather say the essence of innocence evaporates. Most of us don’t even remember the stories we did hear through our adolescence. Whenever we come across people who shares stories, we avoid them, we ignore them. But I must say it is a remarkable experience one can have. One can also take up story telling as a profession. Most of them also take their time out of their busy schedule and try to take it as passion.

Story telling is not easy cake walk. Story telling is not only to kids. Stories are part of ingredients to live a happy life.

‘Money – Cannot fit all the shoes’

“Just imagine the world where money never existed! There wouldn’t be any fights, no discrimination of rich and poor, no greed nothing! But sadly to say that today this ‘Money’ is occupying all the spaces of mankind. Gone are the days where people used to give importance to things which mattered close to heart. Today people go behind reasons to fill their pockets full. But the beauty of hard reality is where; this ‘Money’ doesn’t fit in all the shoes no matter how hard you try. Money may give birth to many things inside one self by making them selfish, but never the less it also falls deep down to a ZERO. Many things can be bought by money, yet money cannot buy many things. The seed of heart needs emotions to nurture, to grow, to make it a happy person. At the end of the day, it is happiness that pleasures a peaceful mind. Seeing happiness in what we do relishes our purpose, our motto, the way to live, the way to SEE things around"

Craps to Crafts

All my student life from the past and present, have written so many tests and examinations. I was wondering as to what do schools and colleges does with the exam papers or the answer scripts once the exams are over. Most of them  do is, they sell to scraps shops or they might throw it away. As I came across Christ University, I happened to know that they are into ‘Craps to Crafts’ mantra. They have a recycling unit in their university where the used papers are recycled into color papers, paper holders, book marks and many more. The coolest part is to buy a bag made of frooti packets, stylish and attractive.
